General Terms and Conditions

It is the responsibility of the named person on the booking form (Bridal party leader or Bride) to understand, agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. By proceeding to complete the booking form, and pay a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and that you agree to be bound by these conditions.

High Season (April – October) There is a minimum fee of £300 per booking. Low Season (November – March) There is a minimum fee of £200 per booking. The minimum booking fee does not include trial costs or travel expenses.
Immediate payment of a non-refundable, and non-transferrable, £50 deposit is required before a date will be held. Without this the date will be offered to other interested parties. Any deposit paid is deducted from the final balance and is not an upfront payment for trials. Trial costs are due 7 days prior to the trial date. The remaining balance is due 1 month before the wedding day. Accepted methods of payment are cash or BACS transfer only. (Card payments will be added soon) Should no payment be received despite a reminder by email/SMS/letter by a specified due date I have the right to cancel all services for your wedding date and all fees due will still be payable.
All contact, whether it be general enquiries or changes to a booking, must be from the bride or person responsible for the booking only. I am unable to accommodate further contact from bridesmaids or relatives. Any such contact will be referred back to the bride or named person on the booking form. Changes to your booking by adding another person onto your original booking can only be accepted if time/resources allow on your wedding day and I will require prior notice and payment due at the specified time. Adding extra people on the day, without prior warning, may jeopardise the quality of my work or delay the ceremony. You are required to give a minimum of 3 months notice should you wish to reduce numbers or services booked on your wedding day. After such time the full amount for services cancelled will still be payable. All payments are the responsibility of the bride, or named person on the booking, and for this reason I strongly recommend that all members of your bridal party are advised. Should you, the bride, decide to do your own makeup on the day, or give the responsibility to someone other than me, you will be charged a booking handling fee of up to £75 to cover admin and general business costs. These considerations are factored into my rates for the bride only. The minimum booking fee will still apply if you reduce numbers. In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking completely we require a minimum of 3 months notice. After such time the full amount will still be payable by the specified date. Deposits and trial payments are non refundable. Should no payment be received I will proceed with legal action to recover losses.
If I experience unforeseen delays which are out of my control refunds will not be given in the event that one or more services are forfeited as a result and no compensation will be offered if I overrun. If you are aware of factors, which could delay or hinder my journey, such as diversions, road closures, speed restrictions, match days, market days, satnav issues etc. please advise me as soon as possible so I can factor this into my route. No refund or compensation will be offered for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party. A minimum of 30 minutes will be allocated for makeup application per person. If you suspect any member of your bridal party may be difficult in any way, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid potential problems on the day which may cause delays.
It is important that I continue to update my portfolio and demonstrate my work to future prospective brides. Please let me know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or if you are not happy for me to use your images for marketing purposes. I do not show images from trials until after the wedding day and you will not be tagged in any such image on social networking sites, but are welcome to tag yourself. I do not normally ask for ‘before & after’ photos but are very grateful for volunteers. I am happy to be photographed on your wedding morning however, any photo image incorporating my team in action, or my make-up design, on the internet or on any other advertisement, must make reference or credit me as the makeup artists.
Travel expenses are included for the first 30 miles from Salisbury, Wiltshire. Additional mileage will be charged at 45p per mile and apply to the journey both there and back. I can start my journey as early as 6am. Where there is a great distance to travel, and limited time available, I will require hotel accommodation with all costs covered. Travel expenses are calculated and invoiced at the time of booking. Should there be later changes to locations the relevant adjustments will be made. If the bridal party requires me to bring an assistant, that will include this person too.
Appointments are usually offered Monday – Thursday between the hours of 10am –4pm only unless otherwise is agreed. Trials are recommended for every member of your bridal party. However, it is up to the bridal party to decide what is best for them. Without a trial I will not accept responsibility if a desired style or look does not meet expectations on the wedding day and a refund will not be offered. Prior notice must be given if you wish to cancel part of, or reschedule, an appointment. In the lightly event that I have turned away alternative bookings to accommodate your trial, or the duration of your trial in relation to participants, you will be charged. I do not offer additional or separate appointments for bridesmaids and relatives. I will work with you to achieve a look, which suits your skin type or colouring. I aim to meet high expectations and good communication, and cooperation is important for me to do so. I appreciate that it can sometimes can take a little longer to reach this goal and your time with me is not limited, however, trials which I feel have exceeded a reasonable timeframe will incur additional charges, or if any of my team are feeling fatigued from an unreasonably long trial I may be forced to ‘ call time’ and a second trial will not be offered. A second trial can be booked subject to availability. The same charges as your first trial will apply. I reserve the right to cancel a booking following a trial, without a refund of the deposit, in circumstances where there is a mismatch in styles, approach, expectations and/or the client is uncooperative, not open to suggestions or makes any member of my team feel uncomfortable. It is advisable that you familiarise yourself with my work portfolio and ensure you are confident my capabilities and style are appropriate before securing a booking. I ensure that all participants are happy with the results of a trial before I leave, however, in the unlikely event that you, or any of your bridal party, decide after your trial that you are not satisfied, you are asked to contact me immediately so that I can resolve the matter. Refunds, retrials, or cancelations without charges are solely at my discretion. I do not sell products nor am I affiliated with any brand. You will need to purchase your own lip colour for touch ups and I are happy to provide details of what I have used.
In the unlikely event that I cannot attend on the day of your wedding due to unforeseen and unfortunate events or circumstances, all payments will be immediately refunded (including deposit and trial fees). I will work with you to find an alternative reputable makeup artist to cater for your requirements however; any such booking will remain solely the responsibility of yourself. If I am forced to cancel within 4 weeks of your wedding day I will accept to pay up to £50 for any additional costs involved in securing an alternative Makeup Artist to perform your requirements as stated on the original booking form. Please note that I will only accept invoice/receipts from legitimate qualified Makeup Artists working from an established business in order to claim for these additional costs. If one of my team is unable to attend on the day, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will immediately try to find an alternative Makeup Artist to stand in. If this is not possible I will ask for an earlier start time to accommodate original numbers, or will refund services, which are forfeited in part, or altogether, as a result. No further compensation will be offered. If any of my team is made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, or mistreated, or if anyone becomes abusive/violent or displays any offensive behaviour, I have the right to cancel the contract without refund. In the event of extreme weather conditions where the ‘ Met office’ has issued a ‘ Red’ warning, I reserve the right to cancel your booking. I will refund all monies as a gesture of good will, excluding trial costs and deposit. No further compensation will be offered.
You must ensure that my team will be working in a suitable environment with adequate lighting and hand washing facilities. Please ensure every member of your party is aware of timings on the day and that they need to be, and remain, available. You are to inform me of any allergies or reactions prior to, or after, any make-up application. If no known allergies are stated I cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to you or any other member of your party. Prior to having make-up applied please ensure you and your party are prepared, to avoid leaving the chair whilst I am working. Please ensure teeth are cleaned, you have been to the toilet and contact lenses are applied (if applicable), before sitting in the chair. Also make sure you are make-up free, (we will prep your skin.) On A wedding day, time is of the essence. Please do not eat or speak on your mobile phone during makeup application. Please do not sit children/babies on your lap whilst having your make-up applied. It is important that children/babies are kept away from my products and tools as they need to be clean and sanitised at all times.
